Strauss should have met with Piers Morgan and told him to do one as well.
Strauss comes in, sacks coach Moores and now it seems has told KP he wont play for England again. The same Kp who scored 326 not out yesterday against Leicestershire. What next I wonder ?

How can they leave KP out?? We seem to have a lot of good players but they have been very badly managed.
Leics are the worst team in the country. Yes it was a triple ton, but some perspective please. The double ton by Hales against the County Champions holds significantly more credibility.
KP would have had a chance to return if it wasn't for that book. Bridges well and truly burnt with that one. Game, set and match Strauss. KP has been totally outmanoeuvred and it's funny watching the fallout from his supporters on social media.
I'll be at Lords on Thursday. Hope Adam Lyth has a good debut. Him and Ballance in together should be interesting.
Lets hope England get the runs and results then to back up Strauss' call. He's made his bed and now he has to lie in it. By the way I know it is early doors however after two Div 2 wins, including Lancs away, Glos are 2nd. Now I know it won't last but here's one exiled fan with a![]()
What's the odds on England losing every test this summer?
Just 7/1 apparently.
IMO the KP saga just before the NZ series is another ballsup by the ECB. They told him to bin the IPL, he did. They told him to score loads of runs, he has.
The aussies are pissing themselves laughing @ this & I fully expect us to lose both series.
I'm pleased to see a new Opener coming in but ffs why did it take Trotts retirement to make this happen, because if he hadn't I'm convinced he'd still be there with or without the change in management. The ECB really does @ times come across as an old farts club.
Agree. I think Strauss has put himself under early pressure. If we don't score runs against NZ especially, there will be people who say he should have gone with KP. I personally think he made the right call. I have no sympathy with the guy (KP). He may have an outstanding batting average but for me he never fitted the bill as a classic England batsman. Slightly controversial view, especially to all his twitter 'followers'.Originally Posted by lovedeanblue
