I noticed that as well Oz, didn't make any sense, unless of course they allowed for the fact that the Villa fans wouldn't throw the ball back into play in the 2nd half![]()
The BBC website match statistics tells me Villa had 65% possession at St Mary's on Saturday. Is picking the ball out of the back of the net and kicking off again counted as possession?

Lesson there. We've had games where we dominated possession but in the end its about hitting the back of the net.
Too right
Last season at home to Villa we had over 70 per cent possession, they had 3 shots on target and won 3-2
Away at West Ham we scored first had a similar percentage of possession and lost 3-1
Similar story at home to Cardiff as well
It's always been a big folly imo
