From the Sun website.
SEVEN of Scotland’s top football clubs are not paying workers a living wage, a TV probe claims.
Celtic, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Motherwell, Hamilton, Partick Thistle and St Johnstone will tonight be shamed on a BBC documentary.
Investigators found they employ staff — directly or through a contractor — at less than £7.85 an hour.
Peter Kelly, director of the Poverty Alliance, said: “It’s unacceptable. These clubs are leaders in their communities. They need to be showing leadership in pay.”
Clubs in the country’s top two leagues refused to complete a wages survey for the Beeb team.
SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster said: “They feel, rightly, less encouraged to complete surveys which only seem to lead to negative reporting.”
Hearts is the only club accredited for paying the living wage — £1.35 more than the minimum wage.

Well done Hearts being the only club to be a living wage employer. Celtic fans have tried to get the club plc to pay the living wage and put forward a motion at the AGM. I wonder walter have the supporters of your club done similar?
rangers have pyshed away 80million in 3 years without paying a decent wage to good workers like walther and the dame
cmon walter I am waiting for an answer. What have Rangers fans done? I have a feeling you haven't thought this through before posting this thread.
Well done again to Hearts. The more I hear of Ann Budge the more I like the cut of her jib (oooooooooooooooooooooer !)
Seriously, in this day and age with the outragous salaries being paid in the professional football industry, even in Scotland, it's reprehensible that clubs who can well aford it, Celtic in particular, are not paying the Living Wage
If your looking for the moral high ground, You failed miserably Walter. How many hard working people did your club rip off in their quest to buy success ? What about the hard working tax payer's £75 million, The whole world can see what a morally bankrupt club the Rangers are, How many Rangers employee's have been denied any wage at all through redundancies, Yet again poor Walter fails to think his posts through,
The dead buns even bumped the wee face painter guy out of his money![]()
