Stephen Dawson signs

Two year deal with a further years option in the clubs favour. Looks a good first signing with more high profile ones to come no doubt.

General reports from Rochdale fans are that we won't lose too many midfield battles with Dawson in the team and that he was one of their top performers last season. Had a few injuries but still made 36 appearances as they made the play-offs.

Another from the Republic of Ireland so Irish Iron will be well chuffed.

Robins hinted that he wanted more leaders on the pitch and Stephen Dawson certainly fits the bill. Can't see any negatives about this signing and I'm expecting some great additions this summer to give a massive buzz around the club by August.

Some people seem to think he was released by Rochdale. Not the case. They offered a new contract but he turned it down in favour of coming here.
