Wigan Athletic have offered a contract to former Blackpool midfielder David Perkins, reports HITC Sport.

The 32-year-old is without a club after being one of 17 players released by Blackpool earlier this week.
Perkins was a regular under Lee Clark last season but could not help the Seasiders avoid relegation to League One.
The midfielder joined the Bloomfield Road outfit in January 2014 on a free transfer from Barnsley and went on to make 67 appearances in an 18-month spell.
A number of club are understood to be interested in Perkins but Wigan are the frontrunners to sign the former Colchester United midfielder.
Latics boss Gary Caldwell is planning a major rebuild at the DW Stadium this summer and an overhaul of the squad is expected following their relegation from the Championship.
