    Jed Wallace...

... has joined from Pompey on a three year deal. In keeping with recent policy... and based on the Pompey board could be a good un. - view external link

Thanks Norton. We know. Have you looked at the Wolves Summer Transfer Rumours Thread? That also contains some action video of his goalscoring ability.

While we may complain that we don't bring in many veteran difference makers, it's hard to argue with our current policy. McDonald, Henry, Dicko, Jacobs, VLP, Rowe, Golbourne and Wallace were all bought cheap or on free transfers. They're all low risk and high reward and if they don't work out long term, we will be ok. Better than buying aging Prem contributors and established Champ vets that if they fail to work out, we are handcuffed in future activity. Only guys we've spent more than a few hundred thousand on are Saville and Afobe. The latter has obviously worked out brilliantly, the former not so much but is still young and has potential. Might not be the quickest route to success but I think it's currently the best route for us.

I for one am glad Norton highlighted the signing, for me a new signing should have his own thread on the forum. It's then easier to discuss instead of having to trawl through many 'speculation' stories. The original rumour regarding his signing has been doing the rounds for months.

For Wolves this is a signing that if it works out then Wolves will reap the rewards. Only time on the pitch will give us a clearer picture of how good Jed Wallace is.

I'm of that view as well Gav, a new signing does deserve it's own thread. Last season I posted a rumour on the rumour thread only to be told that it was mere media stirring! That's why it was only a rumour ffs.

    I agree.
New players need their own thread.
Rumours should stay in the transfer rumours thread.

That's why it's called the rumour thread I suppose.

    It's full of rumours.

Just to put the record straight -

It is a logical conclusion to confirm a signing on the rumours thread, which is what happened. By the time Norton posted, that side of it was done and dusted and I assumed that he had not noticed. Whether there should be another thread specifically for that player was irrelevant to my comment.

A good signing for you lot, seen him play a few times for pompey and he has always stood out.

I've always thought he could play way higher than league 2,I think he could be a really good signing.

I've also posted numerous times regarding transfers and had it written off as 'nothing' due to their being no quotes. It's what a rumour thread is for and i also try and post a link. The Jed Wallace transfer was confirmed to me via t

Exactly, over the last few seasons the rumours and final run in threads have appeared on here by posters who obviously use molineux mix. Before that we had individual player threads rumoured to be linked to Wolves. Each to their own really.
