He sounds a bit dissapointed saying he didn't believe rumors of the Newcastle job interfered with the teams performance. Sorry mac wrong. There were other factors for the sacking anyway.

Only got himself to blame, but Mac fans don't shed too many tears for the lying Rat, he will walk away with a wedge straight into another job.

Funny...a few weeks ago you couldn't see what everyone else could clearly see and everyone one on here knows you tried to defend McClarens every whim. Still, as you now say, the board was right to get rid of him. Shame your hindsight isn't very good for someone who ridicules others for their, supposedly, lack of football knowledge
If you read, the board have scrutinised his seasons performance in making their final decision, ie poor signings, no plan
Steve I agree with every thing you have said the board have obviously looked at the whole season and don't like what theve seen They gave Mac the money to get promotion ie long term contracts for players the players he wanted Not much point going over everything but the Newcastle thing was the final straw I certainly would not say he lied because he didn't he just seemed to revel in the attention the media were giving him but his final interview on the matter this is what he said " At this moment in time I am totally committed to Derby County " That's definitely edging your bets to me Im not sure about Clement coming as manager its a big gamble I would have preferred Paul Lambert proven in the Championship out of work so no compo needed
