    How to treat your fans!

    Here's a club and city that know how to treat the football club's loyal supporters - no promotion parade for Norwich City because the players need to go on holiday after a long hard season - struth! - view external link

    I have to say that I do think this nonsense about victory parades and trophies for winning play off finals is just over playing it.

    I didn't bother to go out and 'cheer the team on' when Billy's side paraded throughout the city. I spent all season cheering them on, no desire to stand around waving at a bus.

    Sod off and get a break and come back fresh for the new season, that'd be my advice. Finish 2nd and get automatic and you have nothing to show for it. Finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th and win the final and you get a big shiny trophy and a parade. Wierd.

    I think you're probably in a minority - the people of both Bournemouth and Watford turned out in big numbers for their parades and I'm sure there are many in Norwich who would liked to have been able to do the same for their team - but if those highly paid young athletes were so exhausted after their efforts that they couldn't wait a few more days before their hols then so b

    Kind of brings into question the validity of the whole play of saga really.

    It's good for teams finishing 4th, 5th, 6th all of whom could have been significantly adrift of 3rd place. It's good for the clubs involved financially, for TV and media spin offs.

    Not so great if you have been very consistent all season and finish 3rd just behind the top two, but get knocked out
