    Blatter Wins

Septic Blatter is FIFA Presdent again after Prince Ali withdrew after the first election. Europe FA has got to act now to end of this corrupt organisation.

Time to stand up and boycott Qatar.. No Europe, no WC.
The geezer is in complete denial, I seriously don't think he knows what he has presided over is wrong.

What a complete joke this result is.
He says he can't be held responsible for others being corrupt & that he knew nothing of any wrongdoing but then wants to take all the glory for anything good in football.
He's got some brass neck & skin thicker than a rhino!!
Surely UEFA etc. have to act somehow to get rid of this vile man & his equally vile supporters.

Not sure why people are so suprised?

Football is corrupt and biased as it is. Look at what the PL and the top five has done to all the other clubs. Essentially they have no voice and control.

Right or wrong Blattea has played the numbers game. Andorra and Costa Rica have the same power individually in a vote as England and Spain for example. The money may be in the top countries but this is nullified in the voting.

Blatter has given all these other countries a seat at the table and raised their profile especially in Africa and Asia. It's a numbers game he doesn't have to pander to the likes of us.

Makes me laugh people in elections calling for proportional representation and parties not having a majority then wanting something like this changing when someone does have the popular vote and supports the little nations!

To date there is no proof he has done anything corrupt. That could change but it hasn't. If there is corruption in FIFA and he should be held accountable for wha

Much as it pains me to say this your largely right. Though one thing, in most cases where widespread malpractices were apparent over a number of years, then the head of that organisation tends either to fall on their sword OR get booted out!

If europe and south america boycotted the world cup or threatened to do so, then Blatters power would soon disappear, but given they all want their snouts in the trough, thats unlikely to happen. I couldn't give a **** about FIFA and the world cup bores me stiff anyway - how can it cost umpteen million to make a ****ing bid???

I know Europe aren't supporters of Blatter are South America the same? Had a busy day and not really been able to follow in detail.

Would you not think UEFA countries alone pulling out of FIFA and the World Cup alone would devalue it so much so something would have to happen. Like when the PL was formed. But then is that fair to the smaller nations?

If you were th Ivory Coast or Australia would you not feel bullied by that happening?

Australia are as ****ed off with Blatter as others, they feel cheated out of the world cup and swindled out of the money they spent on the bid.

Oh I dont disagree that europe have only them selves to blame, they disregarded the smaller countries interests and Blatter saw that bringing them onside would work in his favour, of course whilst he claims to be their friend they in return must uphold his position.

I guess UEFA pulling out of FIFA would have a dramatic effect, and USA and Australia would do the same it seems.

Its reputation is such that It ought not to be bale to continue to function, but I can see the saga continuing for a while yet.

I think everyone feels cheated out of the World Cup!!! Let hope at some point Qatar do ... Although they do have a good airline!

So do you think UEFA might do something along those lines? Is that what Dykes comments about Blatter not being in the job in two years possibly elude to?

The entire FIFA brand is toxic and has been for years. The only way Blatter is ever going to leave is in handcuffs or if UEFA, USA and Brazil/Argentina pulled out and the sponsors went with them. Nobody else counts anyway.

I don't think that scenario is particularly likely to be honest, but if it was ever done good luck to the remainder of FIFA selling a World Cup where the entire schedule would basically be games like Togo vs the UAE. UEFA should have pulled out long ago anyway; every World Cup decent European teams miss out and the likes of Ghana and Iran make it through.
