    May 30 & 31, 2015 Absence of Bias

As an ex- pat it was a great weekend for Scottish Football and the Well. Sadly the Media coverage by BBC has been IMO shameful.
When I go the the BBC website for my daily fix of football news it's quite obvious where the bias lies, when Celtic win and the media goes on a blitz for days Rangers win (sometimes) and the cry Rangers are coming goes on and on.
Caley becomes the first Highland team to the win The F.A Cup and gets virtually no notice for the achievement. Well hump Rangers twice and focus was the rammi at the end not the 6 goal thrashing of the Gers
Thank goodness for youtube at least I can get some video of what actually took place (sometimes with no audio it's better)
My congratulations to the management, staff and players on a job Well done!

You will find it hard to get an unbiased view in the media. In one of the rags I read today it said "Order was restored after a charge of mounted police" In reality what happened was that those people that invaded the pitch where making there way back to the stand ,escorted by stewards. The FOUR mounted horse police trotted on AFTER they where back in the stand. They just ambled over to stand in front of the east stand. At no time did they come anywhere near a fan:/

The most laughable thing is that some OF fans on both sides are utterly convinced that the BBC is 'institutionally biased' (their words) against them! Not only that, it's organised by the other side! They get acres of coverage; what they really don't like are the occasions on which the coverage, even when it's factually correct, reflects negatively on their club.
If they want to see institutional bias, they should reflect on a) the media response to our Pittodrie win last May ("...and Motherwell have stolen second place!"), which we actually won by getting more points than the Dons over 38 matches. It was embarrassing that so many media people couldn't give us credit for that; you could hear the disappointment in their voices. Fast forward to b) We've just beaten a much bigger club, with a massive following, by six goals to one. You'll have read and heard the media reaction yourselves; once again the disappointment in the voices, the attention devoted to Rangers 'failure' and the grudg

scottish sports media has always been the same all the time I've been watching football. At best it's lazy journalism and at worst something a bit more sinister.

The obsession that people(even non old firm fans)have with Rangers and Celtic totally is unhealthy. The fact all media in Scotland would have loved to have Rangers back before us so they can beat the old firm match drum.

I couldnt give a flying fek about "them" they bang on about being biggest world derby match utter gash! Our media knows it has to include them to sell the product so sad in my eyes.
