    Christie/Shotton and Ince. Alternative view.

Am I alone in not wanting Ince back at the club. For all his wonder goals I feel his workrate and attitude is poor.

I also believe that his signing was linked to the poor late season form for Christie/Shotton. Prior to Ibe leaving, both Christie and Shotton played with Russell in front of them and their form was decent. After the departure of Ibe and arrival of Ince, Russell was switched to the left to accommodate Ince on the right.

Inces lack of defensive effort left whoever played at right back exposed in many games, resulting in a lot of pressure to perform to cover for Ince. It would be interesting to see either Christie or Shotton with some help defensively. Both players seemed to play better with either Russell or Ward in front of them.

You do have a point though.. It's not always about the best players but the best mix of players..
