Well I don't think i'd have said 3-2 that's for sure.

Much better second half though and Wiltshire scored 2 crackers and Rooney took his goal well, about time though as he'd missed a couple of sitters.

I watched the game, and the standard of England's defending for both of those goals was a disgrace. If England play like that at the finals against proper teams (with the greatest of respect to Slovenia, but hey they aren't world beaters are they?) they will be torn to shreds.

Mind having said that England's second goal was an absolute cracker, great build up and an excellent strike. That actually should have been a 3 or 4 goal win if I'm honest, and possibly would have been if not for the very poor way defenders switched off. Do that against Spain, Germany, Italy, Portugal or Holland and they will make England pay dearly.

There are not many easy games these days. It was a good performance with bad defending agreed but we are still 100%. We do struggle though when we get to the finals of the big tournaments.

I don't know mate, it seems to me that there are easy games still, it also seems to me that England have got most of them if I'm honest. Look at the next one, Rooney is almost nailed on to break Charlton's record there, and that game will see England qualify, with ages to spare.

Those results you mention are shockers, agreed. And in fairness England have done very well to avoid any of those sort of results. But Holland, Spain, Germany and Italy will be there next year, and if England have to play against one of them I would not bet on a positive outcome.

Thought it was a good away result to be honest, no easy games these days. Could of had more in second half if we needed it I reckon but centre half pairing was a liability got to be said.

Have to say Slovenia is amazing and our fans were top notch as usual.

HB, are you really, seriously saying that San Marino is not an easy game anymore? Because if that is actually the case then England should pack in playing international football right now. If what you actually mean is that it is slightly less easy these days to roll over some of the utter rubbish out there because they're a bit more organised then you might have a point. They are still rubbish though, and a team with England's quality should destroy the likes of San Marino, and should be looking for double figures of goals (whether we get them or not is immaterial).

Kinda agree with HB tbh as games like the Slovenia one isn't an easy game really.. we won which is the main thing and lets be totally honest it should have been more convincing..

Also agree that Roy has some work to decide who are the best cb's.

Glad you enjoyed it HB and yes the fans were good.. always have loads of respect for the fans that make these trips away tbh, pretty jealous really
