There I was earlier checking out an album on Amazon then low & behold come on here & the same ad appears in front of me for the same album...pretty obscure album at that so no coincidence

Delete your cookies daily or use something like incognito in Chrome and it'll sort your issue. This happens all over the web, it's not just this site.

Bear's right. All online retailers do it. It's called remarketing and it's a type of online advertising Google and others provide (see link). It means that the ads you see on the web are targetted at you and your interests.

Always make me chuckle when folk complain about getting ads for p0rn and hook up sites. There's a reason for that - view external link

This always happens to me when I browse on Amazon. They keep following me around afterwards. I actually don't mind because they're only showing something I've expressed an interest in and still thinking about. A word of warning though don't browse on Amazon for anything which could then spring up later and embarrass you when in polite company.
