    Cedric

23 year old Portuguese international right back signs on a 4 year deal from Lisbon.

By all accounts, he's been looked at by some of the biggest clubs in Europe - now down to the team at SMS to get the very best of of the lad.

    Welcome to SMS, Cedric.

Looks like a great bit of business but the question remains:

Cover or replacement for Nathaniel Clyne?

Looks like a nice bit of proactive business. I suspect that Clyne is on his way, if so, I will be sorry, but that is the way of football these days. At least Saints are in control, and proved last season under difficult circumstances that no one is bigger than the club. As the saying goes We March On

    Bem-Vindo Cedric
Nice move by Saints imo, Nat will go to Liverpool, if he was going to stay with us he would have signed the offered contract by now. If we had waited much longer then this new chap may well have gone to Stoke.

I will be sad to see Nat go, but if we get the 15 million we want then it's a good bit a business for a player we signed 3 years ago for 2 million

While I agree that £15million will be great business for Clyne, It really grips my sh1t that we are doing business with Liverpool and that self promoting clown Rodgers. If Clyne makes this sideways move then it's clearly based on money rather than football!

Agree with that. Same goes for Schneiderlin and Spuds.

    Welcome to Saints Cedric Soares.
Always good to see ambitious and hungry, young players who want to wear the shirt. Lots of promise and talent by all accounts.

Good additional and competition if Clyne stays. Good addition if Clyne goes. Good business either way.

    Welcome to Saints
