I do like the way we diss players before they have even kicked a ball!! I know Bent has played for us (and got 12 goals in 17 games!) but really to say the signings are poor is a bit previous, not all may be successful, but Pearce, Baird and Weimann are very good signings IMO.

Totally disagree, with the possible exception of pearce, but will wait to see him play. Very wrong about Carson, Baird and Bent as they are proven players better than what we currently have. I think Wiemen will be great in the championship. Not sure what you were expecting in terms of new signings ?

I agree. At full back we now have inconsistent but potentially good (Christie, Forsyth) with experienced, safe but limited options (Warnock, Baird). But it would have been better to get Lowton as a classy and reliable player.
Weimann could be good, Bent is a luxury and central defence is anybody's guess. I'm not convinced we're any better than last year yet and, without Ince, we may be worse.
But time yet.
