    World Cup Semi

It was an emotion packed night in the loyalist HB household as England's young lionesseses swept aside hosts (and cheaters) Canada to join the 1966 and 1990 club by reaching a world cup semi. Incredible, skillful England stunned a stagnant, boring Canada side with 2 goals in 3 minutes from which the ugly moose shaggers never recovered. England's latest heroesses will play noodle munchers Japan in the semi and surely it isn't too presumptious to start dreaming of England once again being on top of the world just as they were almost half a century ago

    Come On England.

The only "semi" you look forward to is the weekly visit to confession.

Weekly? Even when I was a rabid tim I only went to confession once a month.

Look Rab I understand your suspicion, which, along with the fact you are a fellow bear, is the only reason I'm not wiping the proverbial floor with you. The small minded and parochhial nature of West of Scotland (and football fans in general to an extent) doesn't lend itself well to someone rising above it all and switching allegiance, but that, rab my man, is precisely what's happened here and I'm afraid you're just going to have to learn to live with that.

It's the noodle munchers tonight with a midnight Kick off. A bit late due to stupid Canadian time difference but me and Mrs HB have taken the day off tomorrow as we plan to get lagered and fuly e xpect to be celebrating into the 'wee' hours.

With Andy going strong at Wimbers and the girls well on course to emulate the lads of 66 and what with them having a Welsh manager, this could turn out to be a great year for Great Britain.

    Come on the round eyes.

Where was the Russian linesman this time ? He would have said that the ball didnt cross the line

Japan looked garbage to be honest and I think they were lucky to win it late on against Australia in the last round.
