Things are about to get 'bonkers'

I know I'm clinging onto every word he says, but I can't help it. Alan Nixon has got Derby fans checking his Twitter every second as he is promising that we are lining up a MASSIVE marquee signing. He's staying tight lipped on the whole thing, but has ruled out Jordan Rhodes and Gary Hooper. I don't know who it is and I'm as eager to know as you are (whether it's a load of BS or not!), but I have heard rumours that it could be a certain Champions League winner... (Not that ridiculous Puyol rumour)

Furthermore, he keeps emphasising the significance of July the 1st (Wednesday) which is when the new year for Financial Fair Play begins and he seemingly keeps hinting that we're going to be splashing the cash. It's also the day that players are officially released from clubs but I don't think that particularly matters.

Please don't give me too much stick for taking Nixon's bait!!!

Was thinking the other day. Thinking back turning points for the club have always had one if these... Mckay, gregory, Wright, Saunders, stimach, assanovich...

Thats the bit that is missing atm.

Ironically I was just thinking the other day how we needed a replacement for John Eustace and how Sami Khedira is at a bit of a loose end...

Edit: ****** Juve have got there first (I'm sure that's all that stopped us )

It's a good point though. If we do sign Bridcutt and Ince, then what are we missing? Right Back? Striker?

Rattea makes a good point here, the club needs that signing that everyone in the club looks up to, the one that gets the respect on and off the pitch.

All those he mentions gave the club a lift at a time it was needed.

Let's hope we are not disappointed with someone like Francois Grenet

It's been a while since I've experienced derby generating any excitement like this.
