Theyve shown some bottle, the armageddon predictors and the establishment all threatening them along with their main stream media predicting meltdown...sounds familiar ...but the Greeks have chosen to be poor standing on their feet than poor on their knees as the Bankers and industrialists are trying to blackmail them into.

They should just walk awsy from their debts , the banks do it, the rich do it so why not the ordinary people of Greece. They will have a 6 month implosion if they default as Argentina did but will then have control of their long term future and try to grow their economy rather than forcing pensioners to take 60 per cent pension cut to keep bankers happy.

The banks, the wealthy and the EU created the greek disaster not the poor the old or the young of Greece, so fpuck them. When its the bankers @rse on the line they will miraculously find a deal

Yep privatise the profits and socialise the debts and they are still getting away with it. We will see the disabled in this country lose up to thirty quid a week at the chancellors emergency budget this week and to keep who happy ...yep the banks and the markets again.

Interesting how some people on here appear to approve of people reneging on their debts.

    phukk the greeks.

you never heard them complaining when they were raking in all that "free" cash. The free cash they used to fund the olympics in 2004.

tax dodging was/is a national sport in greece, fae the very rich tae the very poor they all got away with paying very little to keep theire country running...why should they pay taxes when when some other poor sod can do it for them.

always pay your debts...you cannot do walking away and blame someone else for your mess.

the greeks (govnt) are nothing short o scroungers and broo monekys, they want to live aff someone else's hard work.

anyhoo I'm off tae see my bank manager this morning, I'm now refusing tae pay my mortage...but I'm going tae demand an huge 0% loan so I can buy a new car and take the kids tae disneyland...when I'm back we'll negotiate the terms o may loan...oh and I'll keep all my history and all the trophies I've won
