    Bucko

With reported interest in bucko...what is he worth?
Would be happy if we got any where near a million ...possibly less.
    Thoughts?

Bucko came on in leaps and bounds at Derby. Gave everything he had in every game and unlike some really wanted to play for Derby.Scored goals a No.9 would be proud of too.
It's hard to talk of selling him. Football is very cruel. He sweat blood for the Rams.

How times change. I remember a time when a few of us had to stand up for him on here because he came from non league burton Albion blah blah blah.

Well speaking of him I've just seen him in Matlock tonight, where Chesterfield are playing, now probably means nothing and I've heard nothing but just saying.

The point being that Rats is right...when JB first arrived he was pilloried largely on the basis of having arrived from 'little Burton'. It was never fair, it hit his confidence and he took a while to come through it but yes, times change...come through it all he certainly did and although injury messed last season up he was ***** to the team that got to the play off final. Good player, brilliant attitude, wouldn't want him to leave.

Talk about re-writing history... Rats and others had to stand up for him cos when he first arrived he did make quite a few mistakes. He has actually improved during his time with us and played his best in MacClaren's first

Gives 100% in everything he does! but not good enough and will struggle to get a game. Time to get rid while we can get a bit of cash for him.

    re: Bucko

Bucko got pilloried when he first joined because he wasn't very good. He's a different player now and we missed him last season towards the end. The problem with Jakey is that the majority of what's good about him is still commitment, and that only takes you so far.

Having said that, there are some things that are just wrong and selling him is one of them. We should give him a contract for life and come to an agreement to bottle his sweat in the club shop "Bucko - the Scent of Man" I can see it now.
