    £35.6 million loss

We will have to get used to being in an embargo as we have just posted a loss of 35.6 million loss from last season
even if we sell both rhodes and gestede it still won't be enough
this is a huge blow not only will we be staying as a championship club (which I don't mind)but we will be struggling most seasons
only slight glimmer venkys have said they will continue to fund us
    FOR NOW.
this has undoubtedly put a dent in my excitement for the New season.

Robin, this furthers my instinct that the rumours being bandied may well have some credence, in that despite Venkys playing hard ball with our players valuations they are also hanging on for best top dollar in order to recoup as much as possible before they bale.
That would mean the new suitor being willing to take on the debt, or more likely share the debt by Venkys shouldering a percentage i.e. writing off say 50% of the 'losses'.

Will it be at the end of this window, turn of

I guess it's a question of do we want a quick or a slow death
venkys stay we will suffer a slow death
they go it will be over quick with a slim chance of starting again

Robin - the whole thing remains a mystery to me.
The owners might well jump ship - as Despair suggests - once they have recouped some money by selling our best players, but they will have still made a huge loss overall, and I can't understand why they didn't do it earlier.
I know there are various elaborate conspiracy-theories flying about, trying to explain their behaviour, but it may simply be that they have a sort of (Lancashire?) doggedness which means they won't admit defeat.
All I know is, replacement-owners will be hard to find, to put it mildly.
Given the state the finances are (and have been) in, the proposed supporters' takeover last year now seems just laughable. Where on earth could a group like that have found the resources to cover such losses?
