    Consequences of relegation

    Hull City sell Chester, Brady and Ince for £20m;

    Burnley sell Ings, Tripper and Shackell for £15m;

    QPR stick two fingers up at the league, don't pay their FFP fine and are a net spender of money on transfers;

    Something is wrong here surely?

    Consequences of relegation

    A historic concept of the 21st Century which tried, and failed, to prevent domination of the sport by outside money. It was abandoned due to being observed by it being ignored after a short ineffectual spell a few years before the collapse of the league caused by the insolvency of Sky Sports....according to sports encyclopedias in 2035

    re: 'Consequences of relegation'

    With advances in technology it is only a matter of time before the "Sky Sports" empire goes into free fall, and along with it the millions of pounds paid out each season that keep a lot of clubs from bankruptcy.

    What happens to football as we know it is anyone's guess................ But it won't be pretty.
