    Positives

I'm genuinely excited for the new season. The club has certainly made progress in footballing style and transfer policy.

The general consesus seems to be that you have to spend 50-60 million to break into the top 6 and then maintain that every season. I don't necessarily believe that to be true . I think you can pick up a bargain like Song on a free, Kouyate at 7 mil and Cresswell at around 3 million add some youngsters like Samuelsen and Oxford and watch them develop into multi million pound players and you will reach the top six. Rather than "buying" your way in.

This seems to be the way the board are moving the club forward that and the fast, fluid, attacking style of football we are starting to produce and i'm excited for the future of our football club.

Agree with most of that to a certain degree , problem is if you look back over the years mate you will see that practically all the genuinely class players that have come through the ranks at our club having reached their potential have gone on to be sold to big clubs.

While we can pick up players like Song and Cresswell the really top quality players always go to the top clubs, it will never change and our best players will always move on..

There are only Three or four clubs who can realistically win the premier league and it's all down to money,

It would be great if things turn out the way you hope it will, but the way things are they never will, be lucky.

Every fan should be excited by the start of any season...but this post is mostly fictional.
Song, a bargain? I don't think so. Dodgy knees and a bad attitude. Now I liked him the first half of last season but, I would say his signing is a gamble not a bargain. Will his kness hold up? Will his attitude be good? Will he act lime a big time charlie?
Top 6? Kouyate and Cresswell top 6 players? No way.
The signings we have made are not that of a top 6 club.
Oxford should not be played and put in youth team for the rest of his contract. He was convinced, after a long struggle, to sign a contract that ends when he is 18. His sole intention is to leave when he is 18. He will not be here beyond that so forget about him now.

Board moving the club forward? How? We are shopping with Palace and WBA? Middlesborough have bid more than us for players? If Valencia wasn't injured they would not worry about another forward. We are looking for loan players not players to develop and progress at th

What a load of old twaddle we're in with a reasonable shout this season of a top six finish. Can't think of any outstanding candidate for the spot

Agree with that. There's a load of teams in the prem who could finish as high as 5th or 6th and as low as 13th or 14th and were one of them. my one concern is weve only one really proven goalscorer.

Agree as well. Gap between the likes of Spurs and Liverpool has never been so little. Be very surprised if they still do not occupy at least 5th-7th with a team sneaking in.

I think there will be a small gap, maybe 6 teams at bottom-west brom, sunderland etc then the rest then the top 4. Even then; Man Utd don't look too special.

I will still be happy with a top half, but need to really have a go at the cups!
