It will be interesting to see how Burton do this season. I wish them luck.

Went this afternoon first viewing of the new players and coach. Quite impressed looked good going forward. George Thorn very good in the 1st half and Jonny Russell a must to be in the team. Burton are no mugs and when they put the pressure on in the 2nd half the defence again looked a bit shaky at times particularly from free kicks (again) but Shackell will soon get them into shape I'm sure. Impressed with Izak S and the young lad from the acadamy Hanson. Weimann should do very well in the Championship and Martin still looks not quite fit but will soon be there again. Ince was a little bit of a dissapointment but its great to have so many players in the squad pressing for places.
The Brewers look quite good as well.

Another signing which is an CAM and we will be fine for the upcoming season.
Christie was atrocious for the first 30 minutes but sorted himself out. Willing to give him a chance for the first few games of the season though. Don't fancy him against Downing though when we play Boro.
Ince was non-existent throughout the game except for two chances which he bottled. Needs to figure out how he can have more of an influence on games. Was a bit of a problem for him last season as well.
Not sure if I'd play that formation (4-2-3-1) too much this season. It allowed us to control the game very well, Thorne and Baird in particular had a lot of the ball and both played very well.
Me and my mates came to the conclusion that the Villareal match was a good indicator of who is going to start on Saturday. This match was more for the extra fitness for players that need it and to experiment. For example, players such as Hughes and Hendrick were rested so that they are raring to go against Bolton.
only 30 mins this lad will be shipped out on loan .
