I am impressed by your attitude to people. You seem openly caring. and seem genuine. How has this happened? I am curious in a sort of case history way. Can you describe your birth family, your background, beliefs, experiences?
One drawback is that your personality is like a flute that can only play one tune. The devil has the best jokes. Having fun seems to be missing. You cant be nice in all situations. Or can you? I know im being intrusive, but there you go.

Interesting questions Frank i see what you are doing.

Will say this growing up in the 60s for working class families was never easy more so if the mother was a heavy smoking alchohlic and the father was a weekend heavy drinker. It was difficult with one other brother and 3 sisters witnessing all the not so good things that go along with the above. It was all very sad for us all to suffer on our own and no one being there for us throughout our childhood schooldays. Thats why id never pass anyone that needs help. Frank i dont do fighting or even internet fighting no point in that.. anyway i was brought up with daily arguments and more maybe thats why i am not confrontational.

It was a bit more than that Buc. The children of alcoholics have a very poor start in life. If you are curious you can research it on the net. That is not to say you havent turned it to your advantage. When faced with difficulties it can make good people stronger. I was wondering where you were on the mental health spectrum, not ill health but health.
You exibit facets of health, such as acceptance, caring, patience, and a willingness to help.

Having said all that, theirin lies your vulnerability. Good people help bad people, who take advantage to outrageuos degrees. There will be one or two in your life, disguised and taking advantage. We all have them. I hope your good at boundaries, and being assertive. And are able to identify who is harming you. There are bad people you cant help, and thinking all you need to do is help more is wrong.

Could you run a business let alone a Gas Central Heating company in a very competitive market in an area of Scotland that is all about oil & gas.
