    Best guesses at best XI

I have been reading lots of fan-comments on different sites, and what I enjoyed most was the hypocrisy. Some of the posters who called for more youngsters and Kilgallon, immediately switched to blaming Bowyer for the poor performance of individuals. Apparently, he didn't motivate them properly or tell them how to play. It's the "robot" syndrome again. That is, the players are not responsible for their own performances or attitude.
Anyway, the squad must now be more or less complete. I am guessing that the only thing to come before the deadline is the probable sale of Rhodes.
In the meantime, we have the Huddersfield game. What team would you select? And what formation? I am really at a loss on this, but I thought I'd give it a go.

    Steele
    Henley Hanley Kilgallon Olsson
    Barrow Lowe Guthrie Conway
    Koita Rhodes

SUBS: Raya, Duffy, Spurr, Evans, Marshall, O'Sullivan, Delfouneso

This is very harsh on Marshall, but I'd like to see Barrow's extra pace. I am not Lowe's biggest fan

    Pretty much bang on aucks
I would probably keep raya in the first team and swap Lowe for lenihan
that lad has the energy of Lowe but instead of going sideways and back he runs with the ball.

I'd be happy with either your suggestion or Robin's, Needle.
I am hoping that the Shrewsbury game proved to GB once and for all that Williamson and Brown shouldn't be used again (although, to be fair, Williamson did have a few good games last season).
That would mean that Bowyer can focus on a combination of our tested players, the most "ready" of the newcomers, and the gradual introduction of our best youngsters.
As Barrow is only a three-months loan, I am assuming he will go straight into the team.
I suspect (fear?) that GB MUST be considering the continued use of Marshall as the creative/attacking central midfielder. I gather he looked like a fish out of water there against Wolves, but I can't see how else Barrow will be fitted into the team, unless he is selected ahead of Koita and Delfouneso as the second striker.
I hope we can hang on to Tommy Spurr. He is second in the pecking-order now, but he has been one of our most consistent players. I suppose he couldn't be converted

I wouldn't rule out Brown or Williamson
Williamson is very hit and miss so should never command a first team spot but if injuries hit he is a useful squad player
as for Brown the guy wasn't match fit maybe he shouldn't of started but I would be patient with him if at the end of this season his contribution has been non existent then get rid.

I would keep Rhodes out of the shop window for this one unless needed.

    Raya.
    Henley-Duffey-Kilgallon-Olssonn.
    Barrow-Gutherie-Evans-Marshall.
    Koita-Delfouneso.

    Subs= Rhodes-O'Sullivan-Conway-Hanley-Spurr-Lenihan-Steele.

This would throw the cat amongst the pigeons but we have to start as if Rhodes has gone & might get a few others fired up.

    If Carlsberg did managers.

I would not get a shout,,,
