Says more about him.
Say`s a lot about our budget, after he has signed a 2 year deal at Oxford.![]()
Says more about him.
He wanted to come here but directors turned it down. £2000 pw plus agents fee.
Can we afford it?
Obviously not. But if he wanted to be playing at a better level, he would have taken what we were offering and advised his agent to "do one".
Crewes Level that good Everyone is leaving to go the Vale- Shrewsbury-Fleetwood-Oxford -Bolton you it anywhere better than Crewe at this moment for these players.
If that were the case, then we would have signed no players. As per, you are just peddling a negative attitude. If it weren't so tiresome it would be funny.
Your a Great Defender Timmy you should be Playing for the Team, but like the rest of us you soon get worn down or should i say LET down by the Management of this once great club. some Directors should pack up there bags,i think some have already! SD is just the fall guy
Drawn to this debate like a Lemming to a cliff top with the same result !
Surely the deeper issue is that we wanted to break our wage structure for a player that ended up in league 2 and no other L1 team who could have paid the money that would have been cheap for them, didnt enter.
there were quotes about us tracking him etc etc, and being a main target- that is a concern.
Bumping this thread as there was a piece about Lundstram in today's Observer (as a preview to the Oxford vs Swansea FA Cup tie). He was also singled out for praise in the BBC Sport match report of Oxford's victory:
"Oxford's John Lundstram produced an accomplished midfield display - making more passes and winning more tackles than any of his team-mates, while making four interceptions and winning the ball back 12 times".
Lundstram started for England at the Under-20 World Cup in the summer of 2013 alongside Harry Kane, Ross Barkley and Eric Dier. Perhaps SD does have an eye for a player, but not a board who will support his ambition.
