    Hendrick could be out of contention for quite a long time!

    More potential bad news about our midfield.

    If he gets convicted for this alleged offence he could be missing from our squad for quite a while? We should plan for the worst and get in a replacement just in case.

    The link does not work for some reason. Here is what it says;

    The DPP has directed that a 23-year-old Irish international football star be charged with violent disorder after an investigation by gardai into an alleged incident that happened almost two years ago in Dublin.

    Derby County midfielder Jeff Hendrick is expected to appear before Dublin District Court in the coming weeks in relation to the allegation.

    The revelation that he is to be charged with the offence occurs just hours after Hendrick was selected yesterday afternoon in a provisional 37-man squad for Ireland's crucial Euro 2016 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Georgia next month.

    It is understood that Hendrick has been made aware that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has

    Maybe he will get off scott free like $tevie Gerrard did a couple of years back, when he beat up a guy in a bar in Cheshire. Mind you the magistrates were probably Liverpool fans. Sounds like Jeff could be in trouble if the court officials don't like football.

    He can just use the defence that he was defending himself by getting his retaliation in first!

    Just because someone is charged it does not mean they are guilty of the offence need to know all the facts first.

    That is why the word alleged is in the text.

    I doubt it very much, Onionbag. It is undoubtedly a distraction both the player and the club could do without though.
    Shorter term, I'd just like to hear some 'news' about his and Hanson's potential fitness for tomorrow night.

    Hanson has a concussion and Hendrick a dead leg. Both miss tomorrow night but back for Leeds on 29th. Work it out, common sense no?Bryson maybe even in contention for Leeds. When there is news, you'll hear about it. No panic.

    Thanks for the injury info Tombo...unsure what the rest of it means. Work what out? When did I suggest any sort of panic? Simply hadn't heard any news about when Hanson, Hendrick or Bryson were likely to be back.
