    So we got beat

From what I have been hearing, we were beaten by a better team tonight, a team who were going to hit form sooner or later. But we won't be playing against that kind of team every week, so we have to move on now.

There has been a lot of changes in the squad and staff at Glanford Park, and I had hoped we would hit the ground running after a great pre season, but it didn't happen.

The usual suspects are calling for the manager's head, as they have done with the other four managers that have been sacked since Nigel Adkins left. How predictable, how cringe worthy!

Robins is no magician, and the investment in our first team squad will not pay dividends overnight.

We must remain positive, and continue to support our team through thick and thin, there will be ups and downs. But that is what we have always had as S****horpe United supporters. The moaners have always been a presence, unfortunately the internet has provided them with a much bigger platform.

    Now we should concentrat

Agree with much of that. Although to be honest I think the current squad is no more than a mid-table outfit which is a little disappointing given the number of changes. And that's before the injuries to our only left sided central defender and only midfielder with real attacking flair. You should not underestimate the effect of losing those two players.

The team is currently unbalanced at the back and too pedestrian in midfield thus isolating the forwards. Ness and Dawson keep getting pushed back in the team when they are clearly not fully fit and it wouldn't surprise me to see a couple more signings coming in pretty soon to try and solve some of these problems. In fact I think it's a necessity.

I expect Robins to get stuck into the players as it appears the majority were well under par last night albeit against a good team on top of their game and I'm expecting a massive response against Millwall on Saturday with or without new recruits.

It's aways funny to see how some su

I hope you are right about further new signings, the squad does seem a little thin, especially on the left hand side. Also if we are going to use 4 - 4 - 2 as a plan B, then we need wingers.

I agree something has to be done about the left side, but how do you get a winger of any quality to come here and only be a bit part player knowing we will start games 5 - 3 - 2. All you can get is inexperienced kids on loan.

The priority for me remains a replacement for Luke Williams. We have nobody to do that role and open teams up. We are far too one paced and one dimensional in midfield. Even ball retension is looking beyond them at times and for the full 90 minutes last night by the sounds of it. You can't blame the opposition for not being able to pass the ball a few yards to one of your own team.

I know you shouldn't read much into pre-season but I'm going to anyway. They were knocking it around for fun against Bolton and Sheff Wed who were not exactly standing off them from what I saw. I fear the loss of those players at Burton has had a much bigger phycological effect on the team than many
