League Cup R3 Morton v Motherwell

We've won this competition once, in 1950/51. Any chance this season? - view external link

    Absolutely none.

But there is a chance we could win this tie at least, which given some of the other possibilities is the best we could hope for.

Agree not a certainty but as we always seem to be drawn away from home it's 1 of the easier draws although certainly not taking anything for granted with our cup record

Up against a familiar face in Ross Forbes - who for all his flaws, can apparently still give the ball a good welly now and again... - view external link

It's one of the better draws we could have got but this will still be a tough one and it,would be no surprise if we lose as Morton will be a lot better than East Fife who outplayed us the other night.

I'll take this one. When you look at some of the others, we could have had it harder. However, we need to play better than we did against East Fife. Fingers crossed!

Pity that good welly rarely ends up in the net or at one of his team mates feet. A prize dumpling and hasn't ended up at Morton because hes got what it takes

Quite. At some point in the tie I'm hoping for a foot race between him and Lasley.

My money's on lasley. Forbes is possibly the slowest player I've ever seen.

Also Forbes had the worst stamina I have ever seen in a player in my life! This guy must have a twin brother that turns up for the trials how he has made a career in football is amazing.
