    Colchester game

There are no easy games in League One but you have to think this is the kind of game we should be winning if we are to make any sort of impression this season.

Colchester have had a poor start themselves although they have just signed two players, a winger and central midfielder with plenty of Championship experience.

I'll go for a 2-1 victory for the Iron with goals from Madden and van Veen.

Agreed, the time for our first away win is tomorrow at Colchester, not that there is any room for complacency.

We are almost certain to go back to 5 - 3 - 2, especially now we have a left footed centre back. Perhaps the players will be hungry enough now. I hope...

I'll go for a 2 - 0 win, Madden to score both and be putting their defence under pressure as he tries to get his hattrick!

Very disappointing against a team that will probably get relegated this season. We are still conceding sloppy goals and also lack that extra something in the middle of the park that would enable us to keep the momentum going when we get on top.

We are missing Williams and it's a big mistake if we think we can get through with what we've got until he comes back. Good to see KvV score a good goal today but he still fails to provide that proper link between the midfield and the forwards. Some real quality in that position could transform us.

With the players we have at the moment I would like to see an attacking 4 - 3 - 3 formation with KVV, Madden, and Henderson up front, and for the time being McAllister, Bishop and Syers in midfield.

Could Henderson be any good as a target man? - I don't know as yet, but it might be worth a go. Syers is our only attack minded midfielder and as he gets match fit, could be the missing link between midfield and our forwards.

The players we are using as wingbacks are better as fullbacks anyways, so a flat back four wouldn't be difficult to organise. We have plenty of options at centre half.
