He had an immense season (14/15), as did Butterfield.
I'm not surprised whenever i've seen him he's looked as good as anyone they've got (had). One thing I've always noticed about Johnson is how cleanly he can strike the ball first time even when coming to him at pace. 1 in 3 from CM last year is a great return, a bit like Bryson season before last. There is serious competition for places now so let's hope that is reflected in performances.
I was having a look through that thread earlier. They do seem genuinely gutted. Good news for us.
And the most excitement Florist fans can take from the signing is him accidentally saying 'Derby City' in his East Midlands Today TV interview. Marvellous! Whatever gets you through. : - )
No surprise there with him being their best player last season but they had him sitting on the bench and not getting much game time so the move was to be expected and it's their loss and our gain.
Not all are gutted. Some not surprised as he struggled in the PL last time around some thought he may be given a chance after last season others not surprised and happy to cash in.
If you read their boards with out rose tinted glasses it's about half and half with the odd individual gutted as you put it.
There no mass demonstration or overly upset group of fans.
From the footage he looks to have had a great season last year and not one for the tap in either. Let's hope he's a quick settler!
That's why I put most, as the split is over 50/50.
60/60?
70/70?

I suppose one has to butter up new arrivals when they first arrive and hope that they hit the side running and boost the side. But I've hear the contrary about Bradley Johnson. He's finding it hard to adapt to the Premier and Norwich can't wait to get rid. Yet another untried piece in the Derby jigsaw puzzle with a manager that's already struggling.
Rats would only be happy if Clough had signed him
