The curious case of the reversed football score.

As is my wont, on Sunday evening I was flicking through the results page of Teletext or whatever they now call it to catch up with all the football scores including any Cup matches and Ladies scores when I came across the scoreline: Portsmouth Ladies 1 v Coventry Ladies 5. "Oh dear", sez I to meself, "we are not so hot this season; I thought Coventry would be a tricky match as last season they caused some bother to other teams".

Imagine my delight when, whilst winding down towards the end of the day I see on my tablet that there is a report of Portsmouth Ladies' delight at the stomping of Coventry Ladies to the tune of 5 - 1. Just the revers of the scoreline on BBC.

My point is this: is there an anti-Pompey bias to BBC reporting? Or is it just an anti Pompey Ladies bias? After all there were some other big scores in the Ladies sections, and the Beeb managed to get THEM right. Why not ours? When other teams do well, their "fish" grows larger and larger with each subsequent telling
