Thread: Sellick to buy Rooney and McGinn

Sellick to buy Rooney and McGinn

Could it happen? Wouldn't be surprised. Sellick usually give one or two of the best players from other SPL teams the chance to move up a level during a season and it's hard to know why they would look elsewhere than at Aberdeen.

What do other folk think. Would they be a good investment? :/

I could just see ScotlandFirst asking that very question - in fact, you could almost BE him...

Its actually what happens in reality, Any team with has a few good players and showing a bit of form tend to be dismantled, I remember a cracking Hibees team being savaged by Celtic and Oldco, think they signed the whole team between them, D/utd slump in form can be attributed directly to Celtic nicking their best players, Its what they do its what they have always done, Any competition will be quickly extinguished by the Glasgow cheque book,

Cant see it happening, Stewart Milne knows that the backlash would be huge from the Dons fans if they sold their best players to Celtic, especially if they were still in with a good chance of winning the league, Celtic would only buy these players to weaken Aberdeen if they felt there was a chance of them not winning the league.

I can't see Celtic offering the kind of money that would be required for Stewart Milne to accept.

I asked this very question (about Rooney) a couple of weeks ago. Obviously not Wayne from Manchester.

I'm sure Celtic could find about 500 grand fairly easily. :/
