I think you may be confusing the media with Aberdeen fans, generally speaking I find that Aberdeen fans have a realistic perception of their team's capabilities and know full well that Celtic can only lose the league and Aberdeen are unable to offer a proper challenge when there is such a disparity in resources available to each of the clubs. The media on the other hand in their desperation to convince all and sundry that there might be an actual title race have been talking up this modest Aberdeen team.
