Thread: Hendrick for Baird

    Hendrick for Baird

The biggest change in the game for me was Hendrick for Baird. The difference was unbelievable. There is no way Baird should be a first teamer, ok as a squad player like shotton etc but nothing more. I don't even rate is captaincy. I personally would give it to Bradley Johnson. Thoughts?

The problem is, Johnson can play, Baird cant. I dont know about horses for courses, i would personally associate him with a cart-horse.

He has to regain my respect first and foremost the way he reacted to the crowd was disgraceful dispite the pressure he was under...no captain should react to his home fans like that! Not any sort of example to lead with. Also after he has made a mistake he is very very quick to look and blame anyone else around him first...not one to stand up and be counted imo

Baird for me is a waste
He makes us play negative .he's certainly not a holding midfielder
I think Clement should abandon the holding role, if Thorne can't play & play 442

The problem with Jeff is consistancy.. One game in three is not enough.
He frustrates the life out of me because there is a really good player in there.

Head to head Jeff or Baird I'd take Jeff every time. The lads got heart.
maybe not a holding mid but he'd do a job where as Baird ain't never gonna be a midfielder.
Like others have said, maybe if GT ain't fit another system should be played.
Hanson would've done a better job today or B Johnson.
PC needs to reconsider captain in my opinion.
The way Keogh came over to away fans after the game today chest thumping really made me think maybe he should've kept the armband. Another great performance from him today.

Eddy Spot on mate there is no reason why we can not play 4-4-2 with the squad we have Hendrick was not all that good as the holding midfielder but that was with Hughes and Bryson in the team. Now we have Johnson and Butterfield im sure he could do a job when Thorne is out I personally think he is to good a player to leave out any way I think clement needs to have a long hard look at 4-3-3 because im not sure its working properly Will obviously mean leaving out either Russell or Ince so be it

Please tell me the Keogh comment was a joke. He has already proved he is not a skipper and is playing better without the responsibility.. How on hell does chest pumping make you a captain? One of the ball boys could have done the same.
Why on earth would anyone want to go back to captain calamity?
