    Interesting.
The quote from Mr Evans is glowing...especially about the fans so best wishes Chris.

However, we switch to a continental style of management (Head Coach & Director of Operations) then after 2 years, the latter leaves and we have "no plans for a replacement in the immediate future".

Who is going to recruit then? Maybe, we have no plans to recruit any players for a while...? Are we just gearing up or is this indicative of some serious misgivings on somebody's part?

No explanations given...in which case the conspiracy theorists will have a field day.

IMO he was a bull*********ter of the highest order. Reminded me of M Mac. A lot of young foreign talent has come in for no particular reason. Isn't the job of the academy to bring local based players through?

    MM had his number.

Bringing u21 players in from Spain, Germany etc. who weren't even close to first team standards. Recruiting a Spanish CB who would've looked out of place at Mickleover Sports never mind DCFC.

So to cover his ********* we've had to spend £20 million quid to stay in the race this season.

Do you really think he did an important job - recruitment wise - then Ella? I can't actually think of anyone we've signed who any well informed football supporter wouldn't have been able to identify.

Not sure of your first question Wristy...recruitment is an important job and a manager really doesn't have the time to drag the global net that it requires these days. But...think Simon Clough did a pretty good job when you look at the signings we made under his...Bryson, Russell, Martin, Forsyth, Grant, ...and all still playing for us.

Point is, in answer to your last question...of course we can all spot and know good players...but credibility means you have to have a reputation in the game to be taken seriously. Who would give me a job against another who has played at the top level and has contacts and friends in the game?
