    vs. Brentford

It's midweek now so I think we can all look forward to Brentford, and a rare 3pm Saturday kick-off.

We sit 9th in the table on 14 points, whilst they lie 19th on 8 points.

We should expect to get our overdue first home win, and hopefully do in convincing fashion.

As for the team, I expect us to line up:

    Carson

    Christie-Keogh-Shackell-Forsyth

    Thorne

    Butterfield-Johnson

    Ince-Martin-Russell

I could also see Warnock and Baird both have a fair chance of starting in their respective full-back positions, whilst Bent may get a surprise start following his goal vs MK Dons.

I'm going to punt for a 3-0 win; if we're going to get our first home win, lets do it in style.

I would like to put Hendrick in for Butterfield.

The table means nothing at this stage of the season. Brentford are a good side and if they saw our last performance, they'll fancy their chances.

I'm going to go for a 1-1, think well get a goal 1st and become complacent.

Spot on with the team, there is an argument for Hendrick but I think Butterfirld will keep his place.. Brentford on their knees at the moment. I would go for 4-0 but we need to score early.

That's the team I'd go for, our first gone win all depends on Thorne IMO, if he plays we'll we should do them by a couple of goals, play poorly and I can see us losing.

    5-1

Baird getting a hat-trick in the first 20 mins, before being replaced by Christie after 25 mins. Warnock to get two more, with Grant coming on in the second half to replace Frank and to score one more (punching one into his own net of course).

That's the team I think Clement will pick; like others, I would shove Hendrick in for Butterfield.
For me, the forward line is the key to this one. An early goal say from Russell or Ince, a slight relax, and heads going down for Brentford and I

I agree with you about Thorne's quality, Triz, but is it not a bit of a worry, for the season as a whole, to be as reliant as you suggest on a player whose fitness might be best described as somewhat fragile and unreliable?
