Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not?
Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that.”

Picture it, It's a warm summers evening in July 1999, and I'm sat in a pub in South London, I'm drinking a nice cold pint of Carling, and I decide to go to the jukebox to put some music on. I pick the Simple minds song ' Somewhere in Summertime'
As the music plays, Around 2 minutes 12 in, I light up a benson cigarette, and exhale deeply. I then stand up after putting out the cigarette and go over to this big handsome hunky guy, and ask him if he knows where any jobs are going, as I am broke and I am due to be evicted from my council flat very soon. I get told to promptly ' ********* off' I am tempted to ask him if he fancies a bit of 'guy on guy action' but I decide against it.
I go home and prepare a meal of chips and salad, and I finish the little bit of cider I have left in my fridge. The next day I'm served with an eviction notice. I think I smoke a few cigarettes that day, and I had a chocolate bar, and I think I might have watched the film Weird Science on TV.
The moral
“Some people see things that are and ask, Why?
Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not?
Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that.”
The original post is wierd on so many levels, but none more wierd than the wholly inappropriate juxtaposition of "nice" and "Carling" in the same sentence
Preferred wee Willie to George.

How much 'nice Carling' would you have to drink to get like that???
