    I'm Back Lads.

Hello BOBs and fellow friends, I have returned from my adopted Country full of Calamari, Sword Fish, Sea Bass, Meat Balls, Goats Cheese, Guzleme, Borek, Pide, Turkish bread which I cannot get enough of all washed down with Efes, plenty of Turkish sunshine which did me a favour with Matron sunbathing most of the day which kept her away from me most days as I wimped in the shade with peace of cover.

There is not a lot I don't like about Turkey, they have not got decent T-Bags (and we forgot to take some originals this time) the Turks pounce on you in the Market and shops which annoys me greatly, I tell em go leave me alone and go away if not I will, The Turks are very rude sometimes if I'm honest, they like queue jumping and you can (as I was) be talking to an advisor in a Bank at a table and they keep coming up leaning over you trying to get information from the person I was talking too, this happened a few times until I told him if he did not tell the next one that did it to go away

Welcome back Alto, sounds like you had a great time over there, in fact I can almost smell the roasting kebabs coming through the laptop.

A great description of your jaunt which I enjoyed reading. As you say they do have their problems like the terrible bombing in Ankara but it did not stop you from having a great time. As for them joining the EU I'm afraid I would not like that although as you say they are good people. There are some bad Turkish gangs in north London and the thought of a population of 77 million Turks having the right to come to live and work over here is just too much and we have to block that.

I don't envy you having to come back to drive those buses around south London but at least you will have great holiday memories.

Welcome back o wise one, glad you had a great time (the Yawkies aren't too bad really) a great report on Turkey and your holiday per usual.. Looking forward to your match thread,it's been really quiet on here without your input .. Not seen Stan for ages, perhaps he's gone Paki bashing in Nelstan lol.. Gaz and Rammy have been keeping the forum ticking over with a few of us joining in from time to time, perhaps it will pick up in the next few weeks when winter sets in.

Why are you so surprised at this Alto, we are salt of the earth us Yorkies
Im interested in how our former legend Neil Redfearn will do now at Rotherham by the way, was the bloke into his footy ?

And as for Turkey, its one of those places thats never appealed to me to be honest, I think the film Midnight Express put me off ever wanting to go there!! And I see they have just qualified for next years finals at the expense of Holland, are the locals passionate about the

"salt of the earth us Yorkies" The best thing to come out of Yardshur is the M62

Always had a dig about the folk from the wrong side of the Pennines Acido since I was a ****ager, my dear old departed Mum would always say I was a silly b u g g e r when I'd make comments even in my 50's about them in her company.

Nothing against them really just a thing from the war of the roses, there are a couple of Yarky drivers at our garage and I'm honest when I say they are weird phuckers, but our garage has just been renovated by a company from Yarkshur and most of them seemed O.K. if still a bit strange.

I cannot understand how Michael Vaughan was born in Eccles and moved to Yarkshur when he was 9 and supports everything Yarkshur even to the point of supporting Sheffield Wednesday, you'd say he has his head on the right way, I'd say he's not got many brain cells

There are not a lot of Yarkshur celebs I like, I cannot stand Michael Parkinson yet Geoff Boycott I could listen t
