    Board resurrection thread

Let's not argue why this forum has died on its 'arris, we all know it has. It's "last one out" and "lights" territory right now.

    I ask the following.

The few of us who still post:
What would you like to see different, if anything?
Are you happy for this place to just go to rat****?
What opinion(s) do you have for improvement?

    Those who no longer post:
    (SaintWayne/Worthy/Wease/USA/Chief/etc)
    Are you still here, lurking?
Why did you decide "sod this"?
    What would bring you back?
Do you actually give a flying one?

    The division four ones:
I have to ask, why don't even you lot bother with coming over here any more?
Would you pay up if you lost a bet to Turktown Ant?
Individually, what do you deem a "line" between banter and rudery?

I fully expect this thread to sink like a stone but what the hell, let's try.

    Dear Brockley,

I will ignore our obvious disagreements and answer your post like an adult.

The recent changes to this forum have made posting really difficult. It's riddled with pop ups, advert banners and on iPhone 5 it fills half the screen, often I've seen posts I'd like to reply to but couldn't be arsed because of the *********e layout. It's become user unfriendly and needs a proper good look at.

    Hope you are well.

I will add that this used to be my favourite saints forum, most posters were level headed compared to the mental Saintsweb and I enjoyed locking horns with skates.

No I'm not happy to see it going to ratsh1t. This was by far the best Saints forum I found.

    Different / Improvement

    1. Whoever makes the decisions on 'upgrades' to go back to the future and re-install what was here before the last 2 so called upgrades.

    2. Saints posters to also go back to the future prior to turning on each other on here.

    3. Someone to explain how driving users away is increasing the potential for advertising? A balance is needed between having adverts and all those rolling scripts that make the site user unfriendly.

What would you like to see different, if anything? No advertising, Not realistic though.
Are you happy for this place to just go to rat*********? No not really but inevitably it will happen when new posters are not replacing those that no longer bother.
What opinion(s) do you have for improvement? Make it more user friendly, improve the layout, less screen space wastage, bin the adverts.

Personally, I think most folk, myself included have just become bored with internet message boards and have better things to do with their time.

Only have the adverts on my tablet, have *******er on my Laptop. Prefer the quick reply, but would like the best of previous reinstalled. Again Kernow not far from the truth, have little spare time or energy at the moment and it is only the prediction league keeping me going.

Firstly, how could you lose a bet to turkeytown, his bets are so obscenely stupid, (pompey not to lose at home) I wish he would tell me all his bets beforehand, I could then do the opposite and clean up, I could be as loaded as he is!

No idea why the board is dying, people have various and different reasons. I am still a novice here and find nothing wrong with some banter from the mongs in division 4, I even think they will get promoted and be at their proper league level.

Not so sure about some of our own debates on here, down the pub you can give it f**k about Islam/ refugees whatever your own thoughts are, then you have another beer, call each other Fascist, pinko trotsky hitlers and forget about it.

Here it all gets a bit camp and humourless, although "ponce boy" won the battle of retorts for me.

My favourite Cranberries number springs to mind..." Do you have to let it linger?" Nice little poppie number

Oops, off topic, good question Jack, don't know.

    Hope that

    re: Board resurrection thread

It's a rare occasion for me to log in these days, part of it is down to some of the posts, which I find to be dribble and tedious at times.

Another reason is due to work commitments, which keeps me busier than ever these days.

I would like to see more emphasis on Match day reports, but decent posts only.

Good for you BJ for addressing the present situation, I may not be a regular poster, but if the posts become decent /interesting, I will be sure to tune in !

I would participate in Grannie comp, but really haven't got the time to go through all the fixtures, the only score I have an interest in is Saints, I haven't the time or the interest in predicting other teams results.

But that's just my own opinion, I don't want to take anything away from Grannie, as I know he puts a lot of time and effort into it and is doing an excellent job.

    Couple of things
Complaints about adverts, seems to me if you have *******er the ads are minimal.
complaints about layout, avatars are back, quote function is back, exactly what is missing (apart from posters) from previous versions?
FF has gone the same way but other message boards like UI and POL seem to be OK. Sometimes wonder if it is the Mods who finally finish things off. Either too much or none at all.

I still look in 2 or 3 times a day and I haven't given up posting yet however annoying the new layout is.

Been away in South East Asia for a few weeks so haven't done any predictions of late but that will change this weekend.
