I am not a fan of Liverpool but I did like Klopp when he was at Dortmund. I would prefer that he doesn't do much better than Rogers, but I begrudgingly expect he will have Liverpool in the top four of the PL in a couple of seasons.

Jurgen Klopp kicks of his reign as Liverpool manager after leaving Borussia Dortmund with 3 draws in a row, seems rather familiar situation as Paul Clement was in when he started as Derby County manager when he left Real Madrid as their assistant manager.

He will need to invest heavily to achieve a top four place. Southampton matched them in every department today. Without Sturridge their goal threat is weak, defence is pretty average so always look like conceding (-2 goal difference). Anfield use to be intimidating, not anymore. 10 man Rubén Kazan tells you a bit about where they are at the minute. Klopp has got his work cut out for sure.
Got to agree with you Manx, i used to like Liverpool, but i think some very poor signings, they aint the team they used to be! But i quite like klopp and i hope he turns it round for them. Plus i dont rate Migniolet. Get rid, surely Klopp knows of some German youngster in the lower leagues?Originally Posted by ManxRam
Most of the players they brought in the summer won't go for their resell value so the Liverpool American owners have to put thier money in again if they want to help rebuilt the squad but the targets that they might be looking for in the January transfer window might not be available to next summer, so quite frankly they are in a difficult situation but Klopp will be up for the challenge as it's the reason he wanted to go to Liverpool.
