Managed to watch the whole match last night and was a very welcome result and display.
Its good to see also (on this 'upbeat morning) many considered valid opinions.
Starting with two up front more often WILL give us that edge in the game, before we're chasing it. As we have so, so long now been asking for.
The super high energy start could not be realistically maintained throughout, and is understandably necessary to back off a while and re -energise/regroup.
But we still for me back off far too much to where our mid is far too deep and gets in the way of our backs getting on with their job. Whilst more significantly, yet again, isolating JR to the point of him chasing shadows. No crit meant but its just not his game.
I am sort of with Dan (to a point) where there were moments where during this spell one always was left with a fear that if we allowed them one, we would certainly be then fighting a rear guard against the inevitable onslaught in order to maintain our 3 valuable po

The most pleasing thing for me was another clean sheet......sounding a bit like Sam Allardyce,I know but this is probably due to having Akpan in the middle with Evans, and not Jason Lowe(injured)and Tom Cairney(sold). I do think selling Cairney has helped the club, (though Gestede is sorely missed). Last season we had the same back four(virtually)as this season so its got to be down to better defensive displays from the midfielders .....no they arent scoring but at least if they are helping to keep goals out. ......

Hard to judge how good a performance this really was ,as Leeds looked quite poor all over, however you can only beat whats put in front of you and Real Madrid or Barcelona probably couldnt have started better against this Leeds team,so credit where it is due.
