Watched the game back on Sunday and every player who played for Forest showed 100% commitment for me and the ones that really stood out was Jamie Ward and Vaughan, Wardy was really unlucky not to score in the 1st half, we bossed the middle of the park and on another day we could of scored at least 3 or 4, Derby were flat footed and negative, every time Derby got the ball we was on em like a rash, wonderful performance,
The big question, can we carry this on?
Not with the current available players.
So no, we can't
The problem is, as last year you raised yourselves for the local Derby, deservedly won, but last year went back to type the very next game.
The first time I saw us best Forest was at the Baseball Ground in the old first division, you under BC were top 6 every year, we were on our way down but we won, did it galvanise us? Like frick it did, we went down with a whimper.
I wouldn't read too much into local Derby results.
Es*** you finally got it in 1. Can we?
The history books say otherwise. Deja vu, play a blinder against Derby. They go and lick their wounds and come back stronger and push for a top 6 while we return to the abyss.
The commentator got it spot on - if we could play so well, why are we doing so badly?
It's the players mate - just not enough showing the same commitment or desire. Too complacent and lackadaisical, only showing urgency when behind or in the last 20 mins. That's not good enough, that's never good enough.
A total change of attitude is needed. If senior players want to play like this, dang then put the damn kids on instead.
