    News & Star Column (12/11/15)

Supporter Survey – the results are in...

We sent out a survey with our recent Welcome Pack and have been really pleased with the 158 which have been returned so far (approx. 10% of the overall membership). We will post in more detail on our website shortly, but here is an overview of the results so far

    Responses:

2% were from Under 25's & the highest response from those aged 65+ at 40%, 87% were Male and 56% had been a member for under 6 months. 70% of responses were hard copies & 30% via email

    Satisfaction:

66% were ‘quite’ or ‘very satisfied’ with the work CUOSC does to represent fans; this is excellent news, with some scope for improvement. Only 7.5% were ‘quite’ or ‘very dissatisfied’ – We would urge those supporters to come and talk to us to see how we can do better

    Volunteering:

DOES NIXON RUN SOME SORT OF SCHEME WHERE HE SENDS DRUGS ROUND TO THEIR HOUSES ON THE MORNING OF GAMES ?

THERE IS ONLY ONE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION AND THATS "WHAT ****IN ATMOSPHERE"

I plan on breaking those stats down further Barry, to find out results per age category etc, but it's worth considering things like response age for example. 40% of the responses were from those ages 65+. Only 2% were from Under 25's who would probably class the atmosphere as Poor/Very Poor.

What percentage of the packs were sent to under-25s? Is it just that they can't be bothered or do you just have an old membership?

It's difficult to say for certain, because for a lot of the members that were auto-enrolled as part of the Season Ticket scheme, we weren't given DOB's (from the club). We're probably missing at a guess about 40% of DOB's from ST holders. From the data we do have, and again this is only a quick glance, I would say less than 10% of the membership are Under 30, and probably about less than 15% are under 40. Quite astonishing really. I would imagine that CUFC as a club would analyse stats like that - it's quite worrying to me, but maybe that's consistent with other clubs too?

Probably right Deano. It's too easy to watch live Premiership games so we're losing the next generation.

AND I WONDER IF THE FACT THAT THERES NO CRACK, ATMOSPHERE OR "INTERACTION" WITH THE AWAY FANS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.

OF COURSE IT IS BUT WHILE THE CLUBS OWNED AND RUN BY A BUNCH OF TOSSERS WHO WOULDNT UNDERSTAND WHAT FAN CULTURE IS IT.LL NEVER CHANGE

AND WHO THINK RUNNING A CRECHE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN MAKING SURE YOU HAVE A YOUTH CULTURE AT THE CLUB

BUT THEN AGAIN THATS WHAT THEY WANT ISNT IT A GROU
