    I presume...

we will all sing the Mali National anthem before the games tomorrow and a minutes silence everywhere....this just reflects how ridiculous this country has become in "celebrating" mourning this last week. People should always spare a a thought or feel for any family facing what the families of people killed go through but we seriously need to role back the media circus that has created this national craze for mourning and where people are almost compelled to "be there" to ensure people see how its affected them.

I don't think the symbolism should've been extended to this weekends Premiership games but you're off your head if you think people in the UK should feel as connected to Mali as they are to France.

So a French life in France means more than Belgian , Turkish and Chines ones in Mali....the bottom line is people should reflect and respect anyone who loses there lives but the obsession in this country is utterly distasteful

Nope but what would shock you more, my neighbour shooting his wife or your neighbour shooting his wife?

Do we have to have a minutes silence because Neilo's neighbour has clipped his wife?

You are actually missing my point. My point isnt against acknowledging a tragic event. Its the utter circus the people in this country turn it into. If you are going to have a minutes silence do and thats it. I still consider the frequency with which we call for minutes silences ridiculous. As for these fpuckin ghouls that travel miles so they can lay flowers on a spot in a place they dont stay for someone they didnt know in order to show THEIR sorrow I have nothing but contempt for these fakes. The media feed it and folk are almost praying for a TV crew to stick a mike under their nose so they can share their views. Its tasteless in the extreme.

Then let us pray that come it may,
(As come it will for a' that,)
That Sense and Worth, o'er a' the earth,
Shall bear the gree, an' a' that.
For a' that, an' a' that,
It's coming yet for a' that,
That Man to Man, the world o'er,
Shall brothers be for a' that.

Got to be honest I don't really care about the folk in Mali or in Paris for that matter.
It's only a matter of time before London gets hit and given that I live there I hope I'm not caught up in it, but I wouldn't really care about anyone who is either. :/
