    What Hull 'Think'.

A few interesting comments. A few laughable ones. The later pages make for better reading.

Some odd generalisations too. One genius claiming that 'No Derby fans rate Hendrick' when discussing which of our squad might be good enough to be included in their team.

Some of them are not very bright it seems.

It's was amusing how that hull fan called derby fans arrogant gits and then him and every other fan predicted a huge hull victory as derby arent very good and they have the best squad in the league.

Yes, the irony wasn't lost on me either, Triz.

Hull supporters should be expecting to win, as they came down from the Prem with a strong squad and have the parachute payments. They do look a good bet for auto promotion, but we will give them a game on Friday if we play to our strengths.

The onus is on Hull as the home side and unlike many others they will try and play football rather than parking the bus so this could play in to our hands. I envisage a game like Bournemouth away last year which was probably one of the most entertaining games of the season between arguably the two best footballing sides in the division. Was little to chose on the night and 2-2 was a fair result. If offered i'd take a draw now.

Hull Tigers are a good side; you'd expect that from a Steve Bruce outfit. They are sky high in confidence, after a thumping of Boro recently which nobody would have predicted.

That said, I don't think Derby have "slipped into top gear" yet this season. Wolves at home was close at times to being our most lucid performance. So, a cracking game in prospect. Very tight (probably), won by a narrow mistake or piece of fortune...or, a poor referee decision.

I'd take 0-0 now; I think Hull are pre-match favourites but if we can be Cobra-like (tight, then lightening quick on the break) we might do it.

Looks like I picked a bad week to give up cellulose-based products.

Mrs Manx conveniently has a works party so kids will bathed and in bed as I settle down with a bottle or two of red, some nibbles and 3pts (hopefully)

which is a little harsh given that the kids in question are 17 and 15 and there's no school in the morning
