    Alternative Striker

Not a criticism of Chris Martin as I think he will get back on the goal trail & majority of our goals involve him but I do think we will look to bring another striker in during January. We are very well blessed in central midfield and our defence (barring injuries to Keogh or Shackell) is the best in the division but I do think that front 3 is starting to look a bit jaded / predictable. I think Ince is off the pace and teams are starting to negate Chris Martin so I think will need to freshen it up in January with another wide player and an alternative striker - realise we have had significant investment already but I can feel the cheque book will need to opened one more.

Anyone else notice that Martin never gives a thumbs up, a hand or some acknowledgment of a pass to him unless he scores, he seems to wave his arms about, shake his head or stand with his hands on hips, I would much rather see him clap or give a thumbs up even if nothing came of the cross or pass, a bit more team spirit from him wouldn't go a miss

I would liked to have seen James Wilson brought in. Not sure why that didn't happen, maybe ManUtd wanted assurances that he would get game time and not be a bench warmer?? Anyhow he certainly looks like he is giving Brighton an edge.

We looked far more of a threat when Bent came on, in fact we'd not really been a threat up to that point. The front three played much too far apart so there was very little interlinking play and thus Weds snubbed us out too easily. I'd like to see someone that played off of Martin's intelligence. Weimann and Ince are capable as is Russell but they need to be closer to him. Of the 3 Weimann looks the most likely candidate at this point. Back to OP and I do think we will bring in another striker. Chris Martin due a big game against Brighton.
