A contrario, meester man, not so fast...

Taken (verbatim) from the Twitter account (I presume) of James Doleman, who attended proceedings today:

Court called back into session to deal with press reports. Judge says he’s unhappy with Daily Record article, counsel agrees is “inaccurate”.
Judge says he gives Daily Record “nil points” for accuracy of report
Judge says that just because he has dismissed commital does not mean he has ‘acquitted’ King
Judge says he would advise Mr King to say nothing to the press until he hands down his full judgment
Judge ended session by saying that it was a bit premature to report “Mr King has been vindicated”.

Whatever happens next, God alone knows. I’m in the happily neutral position of disliking equally both sides of these warring factions: David King and Mike Ashley. A loss for either will feel like a win.

I can't be alone in wondering at the seeming - surface - ineptitude of the Sports Direct counsel, though? So far, so baffling.

Mike's probably got them on below minimum wage

I've just found this on the John James website (see link below), DeezAreGood, which, in turn, was relying on the Twitter feed of James Doleman:

COURT HAS BEEN INFORMED THAT THE £5M LOAN FROM SPORTS DIRECT WAS PAID WEDNESDAY 10 DECEMBER, ON EVE OF HEARING.

If true (they surely wouldn't lie about such a thing in court?), I'm not sure where that leaves everyone. Or anything. At all.

They wouldn't lie to the court, of course Rangers wouldn't. Dave King has certainly never lied to anyone in his life, especially not courts of law.

How do loans of £5m get paid off these days, never had one that big. I assume they don't use Faster Payments, maybe takes a couple of days.

Absolutely right, and he continues to display no psychopathic tendencies whatsoever. No, Sir.

As for the particulars of such financial transactions, I don’t know. I’m much closer to the “10p for a cup of tea, mate?” financial class than the “10 billion and I’ll chuck in Ecuador for free” type.

Looks like Rangers lied to the High Court, the loan hasn't been repaid. How much longer will this outfit shame the good of football and Scotland as a whole. I can forsee a Sepp Blatter Loyal starting up soon
