    FAO celtic fans.

anyone else fed up with the management team these days or is it just me.

i feel celtic have the players to do much better in europe than we have these past 2 years, but we seem to be very niave when it comes to the importance of defending.

someone is filling someones heed with pysh that we can outscore almost any opponent in europe and neglect the defensive side of the game.

i would prefer a more pragmatic approach to europe with a more experienced and sensible management team.

    any thoughts.

Defence is very shaky and the loss of Van Dijk and Denayer has not been properly addressed. If we COULD outscore everyone I would be quite happy but, apart from Griffiths, we don;t have a decent goalscorer. Commons is a gamechanger but is used too sparingly, Ciftci is a fence post in a strip and must be the worst striker I have ever seen in a Celtic top. Bitton is fine from a *bleep*dred yards out but ain't a striker. On the whole the play is slow, pedestrian and predictable, much as it was at the start of last season. If we want to score goals we need to open teams up much quicker instead of giving them all the time they require to get everyone behind the ball - but the defence needs sorting. We need a character in there - McNeill, McGrain, Aitken, Mjallby, Balde even - the only 'character' we have is Ambrose, and he's a fkn cartoon character.
defence needs serious surgery or we will just keep getting pumped abroad

we can score goals though, scoring 2 goals away at ajax and 2 at home to fenerbace is decent enough, 3 at home to malmo too, so we generally can score more than some teams who go further in the tournament. its just i get the impression celtic always have to be trying to attack, instead of being patient and staying solid at the back.

hopefully ronnie learns from his mistakes , if he cant he should go.

I thought Celtic defended reasonably well last night and only a horrendous *bleep* up fae Gordon cost us a rare away win.....too many individual mistakes in European games and hard tae blame Ronny for those..

I was working obviously so never saw the game last night, but in all our Euro ties I have thought we have been ridiculously naive and I am apprehensive every single time the opposition come forward with the ball.

his record is very poor though pogue. our opponents dont seem to make these individual mistakes and the goals against record is there for all to see. scoring wise were ok if not great.

    i

Aye Rev Ronny's Euro Record is poor and mainly down tae some Keystone Cops defending......hopefully improvement next season but no many players last night had much Euro experience.....Celtic now need tae move oan and hopefully win the league and a cup or two for another successful season.....be nice tae see one or two qulality additions in Jan but I'll no be holding ma breath..

Maybe you could get Waltenaccio in to sort out your defence.

Good point 54. Mibbee Sellick should park the bus in front of the goal then kick and cheat their way through Europe. :/
