    Progress Under Mark McGhee?

Early days I know but what is everyone's view about Mark McGhee's report card so far?

For my part I was quite happy with his appointment as we needed an experienced hand to steady the ship and get the best out of the existing crew. So far I think he has begun to improve results and performances. Giving youth a chance too. We are now sitting comfortably in 10th spot and not that far off 6th.

    So far so good.

Last 3 games been very encouraging as scored 7 goals against 2 of the top 3 and another in top 6 will know more though after next 3 games because if we could take another 7 we would then start looking up and not down IMO

Steady progress is being made. We need to keep the progress up to ensure we are not in the mess we were in last season scrambling for premiership status. We are going to have ups and downs on the but going by the last three games we are going in the right direction. The league's looking a lot rosier for us now, although we didn't move up any places after yesterdays result, points wise it's a lot better, three points off 5th place and four above the play off spot. If we can keep it up we could be in the mix for a top six place come the split.

Theres no question progress is now being made. Looking at our points total from 19 games last year and 19 this year clearly shows a better return. Defensively we've improved. Still a bit to go converting our better possession and chances but even that is on the right track. This is going to be a very tight league where two / three defeats will see you in the mire and two / three wins see you in the top six. The Dundee Utd and Hamilton games are crucial. I think we can afford a loss to a decent St Johnstone team, although a win would be a real bonus. If we can win those two we can start putting the fear of the drop zone to the back of our minds. Dundee Utd would need to go on the kind of run Ross County went on last year to turn around a 14 point deficit if we beat them and those kind of runs although spectacular are rare from the bottom spot.

If we beat Utd and Accies I fancy Kilmarnock for the drop and Accies in the play off spot but I should maybe wait for the results and come on
